This track is from the third album by the Books, a duo from New York City. The two guys sing in unison throughout (including in the brief introduction, which is played in reverse). It has a good beat, and you'd probably sing along if you could understand the lyrics ... which you mostly can't because they're barely audible and probably incoherent ... I caught something about "13 convex figures," and "we genuflect before pure abstraction" in the first few lines. The instrumentals are electric/electronic, with a cool walking bass line. The production is (mostly) sparse, and the recording quality is high, with an intimate club-like feel. It sounds a lot like something you might have heard in "Nick and Nora's Infinite Playlist" ... but didn't.
