Not so environmentally friendly July 28, 2010 K. Szabo (Ohio) I think most people buy these diapers for two reasons: They work, and are environmentally friendly. They do work fine, but are certainly not environmentally friendly. Here's a FAQ on Seventh Generation's website: "Just like most disposable diaper designs in the marketplace, Seventh Generation diapers are not biodegradable, nor can they be composted. Many of the materials used are synthetic, and do not biodegrade." Hence Seventh Gen feels it's okay to be just like all the other companies that put profit first, disregarding the negative environmental impact of their products. They are selling two things: the product, and the image of caring for the environment. 1 star for not living up to their sales pitch.
Great diapers, just a tad itchy for my son July 27, 2010 OC Shopper (Orange County, CA) These diapers are great and I really love that they are chlorine-free. They are absorbent and fit well. The only thing is that they seem to make my son's back a bit itchy. I constantly see him scratch where the elastic hits his skin, but only when he wears these diapers. I'm still on the search for a great green diaper that is a good blend of absorption and comfort. Earth's Best are up next...we'll see how those work out.
Fantastic construction, great diapers! July 27, 2010 E mom I recently fell in love with the Seventh Generation countertop spray and decided to give their diapers a shot now that my son is outgrowing the super soft swaddlers that we've used up until now. We LOVE them! The construction is amazing - elastic at the back and tightly crafted leg openings contain spills. They are a nice, clean off-white with no cheezy characters which appeals to my critical eye. Best of all - my son loves them and they've stood up to his very active diaper "tests". Just as good, it is reassuring that they're safe for his little body!
good but lacks absorbency July 25, 2010 MI Mom These diapers are adequate but do not offer the absorbency of Pampers. I still use them because my daughter is allergic to something in the Pampers. Also, they smell really bad when they are soiled (more so than regular diapers)not enough to keep me from using them, but beware: they will not go all night (5-6 hrs) without a change.
Satisfied July 24, 2010 jksb18 I love the price on Amazon for these chlorine free diapers! The only thing is that Seventh Generation diapers run a little small so whereas my daughter would still be in a size 1 she now needs a size two in these diapers, but no problem. Will recommend these to others
